The Steubenville Art Association’s featured artist for September is Kennedy Conrad of Wintersville, who obtained a degree in art therapy from West Liberty University. She is an art instructor at the Center of Music and Art. Her artwork is done using colored pencil and can be seen at Historic Fort Steuben’s Visitor Center through September. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Congratulations to CMA student Joey Macre for his acceptance into Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, where he will continue his education in music.
Congrats to former CMA Student Shaylee Groves for winning the Andrea Smith Memorial Scholarship Award. Upon recieving the award, WVU Director of Athletic Bands was quoted saying “You have a light in you. It is hard to stand out in a band of 300, and you have done it. Never loes that light.”
Shaylee spent several years at CMA studying flute, piano, and voice. preparing to pursue her career in music.
